I was pleasantly surprised when Marvel announced the Inferno Prologue Omnibus. Collecting issues of the X-men, X-Factor, and New Mutants prior to the Inferno crossover story the stories collected here in my opinion don't really have very much to do with inferno but I must confess it's easily been 20 years since I've read so perhaps they do. The story arcs here vary in quality but for me this has such a heavy nostalgia factor I'm a little biased. The Uncanny X-men storyline begins their Outback era where the world believes the xmen to be dead. New Mutants covers the period following Fall of the mutants where the team grapple with the death of Cypher and battle Freedom Force. Lastly, the X-factor issues contain the Infectia storyline where the Beast is transformed back into his blue furry form by Infectia's mutant kiss. Some people may say the stories here are lame but for me this really was a great period of comic books. These are simple tales before Crossovers and industry gimmicks stopped character development, destroyed continuity and made comics virtually unreadable for anyone who had never read that title before. Sure sometimes a book would turn out a lame issue or villain if the week but in a title's run you would also get a fantastic dark Phoenix saga that was slowly woven into those lesser issues. Now characters are just vehicles to drive a plot. But enough of my rant...The presentation of the book is absolutely gorgeous. The heavy stock paper and colors really make the visuals pop. The order of the book is a bit sloppy though. The Infectia storyline has 2 issues in ten front of the omnibus and then concludes towards the back. I haven't read through it yet but perhaps it was compiled to be "chronological" story wise. The early omnibus books included letters pages but that seems to be an idea abandoned unfortunately. There is some nice supplemental Arthur Adams costume sketches in the back and articles from defunct Marvel Age magazine to help round this collection.Overall this a great collection for any Xfan. The stories here are not essential to the greater mutant mythos although for all I know the current Marvel team may have retconned everything is this volume but it is a fun read. Walt Simonson's art on Xfactor is a treat to look at for me and Brett Blevin's cartoony/demented New Mutants are strangely fascinating to look at. A solid recommendation for this book. I love these earlier stories. great writing Read Online X-Men: Inferno Prologue Download X-Men: Inferno Prologue X-Men: Inferno Prologue PDF X-Men: Inferno Prologue Mobi Free Reading X-Men: Inferno Prologue Download Free Pdf X-Men: Inferno Prologue PDF Online X-Men: Inferno Prologue Mobi Online X-Men: Inferno Prologue Reading Online X-Men: Inferno Prologue Read Online Chris Claremont Download Chris Claremont Chris Claremont PDF Chris Claremont Mobi Free Reading Chris Claremont Download Free Pdf Chris Claremont PDF Online Chris Claremont Mobi Online Chris Claremont Reading Online Chris ClaremontDownload Mobi Judges For You (God's Word For You) By Timothy Keller
